Power for the Corvette Stingray comes from a powerful 6.2L V8 DI engine mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. Power is rated at an impressive 480 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque on your Killeen drives. In addition to upgraded brakes, suspension, wheels and tires, and aerodynamic updates, the available Z51 Performance Package adds more power to the Stingray:
The Corvette Stingray convertible offers all of the same performance as the coupe including standard Brembo® antilock brakes, an aluminum body structure, and a Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus System with an eight-inch diagonal HD color touchscreen. The Z51 Performance Package is also available on the C8 Corvette convertible.
The high-performance Corvette Z06 takes C8 Corvette performance to the next level and is ready for the racetrack off the showroom floor. Power comes from a beastly 5.5L V8 DI high-output flat plane crank engine with a lofty 8,600 rpm redline. Other engine features include Variable Valve Timing and a dry sump oil system. Power is rated an incredible 670 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. With the available Z07 Performance Package, you can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds.
Chevrolet didn’t reserve the Z06 model just for the coupe. The track-ready model is also available for the Corvette convertible. Standard features include a Bose® Premium 10-speaker audio system, Performance Traction Management, and Z06 performance suspension with Magnetic Selective Ride Control™.
